Senior Project Manager
JEMCOR Division of KU Resource, Inc. is seeking an upper-level Project Manager with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or engineering field for our Johnstown, PA office. The successful candidate will be required to live in Cambria County. We are looking for individuals with 8-12 years’ experience in management/supervision., with good written and verbal communication skills, as well as a mechanical aptitude. The position requires knowledge of environmental control practices, and the ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks, including management of sub-contractors (mechanical and electrical), and experience with tracking and managing costs and budgets. Salary range is $80,000-$90,000 per year.
Field Soil Technician
We are looking to hire an entry-level field soil technician for our Duquesne office. This position will be responsible for monitoring of field construction projects and contractors, field density testing during earthwork placement, collection of concrete and mortar samples for laboratory testing, coring of asphalt or concrete with core drill equipment, testing and monitoring of asphalt during placement, soil infiltration testing, preparation of field reports. The candidate must have the ability to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds, safely utilize test and filed equipment, and be able to pass a drug screening test. Required qualifications are high school diploma or equivalent, ability to utilize testing equipment in an effective and safe manner, willingness to work around heavy construction equipment with a focus on safety, ability to achieve required certifications to utilize the testing equipment and collection of test specimens (will train), and prior construction or relevant testing experience preferred but not required. Some travel required, but typically within 50 miles of the home base. Salary range is $18-$25/hr.

This position will be responsible for monitoring of field projects, collection of soil and groundwater samples, testing and evaluation of mold, collection of drinking water and wastewater samples, evaluation and testing for lead-based paint and asbestos, preparation of field reports, concrete sample collection, and data analysis. The candidate must have the ability to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds, safely utilize test and filed equipment, and be able to pass a drug screening test. Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience, associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering technology, geology, or related field is strongly preferred but not required, good verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to utilize testing equipment in an effective and safe manner, and willingness to achieve required certifications to perform job tasks (will train). Some travel is required, but typically within 50 miles of the home base. The salary range is $42,000 to $55,000 per year.
Part-Time Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper
This position would work closely with our accountant on all accounts payable and receivables. Day to day job duties would include performing all accounts payable matters such as reviewing, coding, processing payments and bank deposits. The company is interested in candidates with at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and account procedures, and are proficient with accounting software. Experience with accounting software InFocus/Unanet is preferred but not required. This position will also assist and work closely with our administrative assistants. Salary range is $18-$25/hr.
Entry-Level Civil Engineer
In response to its growing site development engineering activities, we are seeking an entry-level engineer who is interested in a challenging position. Availability for short to medium length out-of-town field assignments is required. The company is interested in candidates with good verbal and written communication skills, and the desire and ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks. Experience with AutoCAD is desired, but this is not a prerequisite for employment. Engineer-in-training (EIT) is preferred.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering; EIT (Engineer in Training) certification required, PE, or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year desired. Candidate should have experience with stormwater management design, including hydraulic software (Hydraflow, Pondpack, HEC-RAS, etc.), NPDES permitting and Erosion and Sediment Control design in Pennsylvania; ability to work with other engineers, surveyors, architects, designers, drafters, and other professionals; able to prepare and/or check all calculations, reports, drawings, and other documents for construction, permit, or bid packages; experience with or desire to become familiar with budgets and proposals; experience with site investigation reports including planning and zoning analysis, utility research and one-call coordination, environmental & geotechnical database reviews of Pennsylvania municipalities is a plus; construction experience including but not limited to infiltration testing, construction monitoring, RFI coordination, shop drawing review is a plus; availability for short to medium out-of-town field assignments is required; good verbal and written communication skills.
