Professional Land Surveyor

KU Resources Inc. is looking for a skilled and licensed Professional Land Surveyor to oversee our survey team.  This position will require the surveyor to be in responsible charge of survey staff and oversee survey related activities.  Duties will at minimum include interaction with clients, quotation for work, preparation of proposals, along with the preparation of various documents including boundary and/or topographical surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, subdivision plans, easement exhibits, creating legal descriptions, managing survey projects, supervising survey staff, as well as technological and professional direction. Additonal duties include oversight of and manage land surveying projects from initial client contact to completion, while establishing and adhering to project timelines and budgets, ensure that all land surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards as applicable, implement a supportive and collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and skill development, develop and implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and completeness of survey data, track and maintain organized and detailed records of project documents, field information and notes, as well as survey computations, excellent communication with clients, staff, and government agencies as to project scope, budget, and time frame to promote exceptional service and professionalism, conduct topographic, property boundary, asbuilt surveys, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, provide guidance and instruction on current surveying technology, equipment, and methods including future advancements and direction in the industry, gather and conduct the collection of survey data and title information along with other applicable information, interpret and analyze the collected data and information to determine property boundary solutions and locations and/or affect of easements on the same, prepare and review survey plans, legal descriptions, exhibits, and other documents that may be required by clients, company staff, and/or regulatory agencies.

Survey Field Crew

We are looking to hire Survey Crew Member with 2+ years’ for our Plum Borough Office.  This position will be full-time with benefits. Primary Responsibilities include assisting field crew leader by operating both GPS and conventional survey equipment in support of field survey projects. Experience with the following equipment is preferred: Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations. Experience with Civil 3D 2023, computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required. Some travel required, but typically within 50 miles of the home base.

 

Entry-Level Civil Engineer

In response to its growing site development engineering activities, we are seeking an entry-level engineer who is interested in a challenging position. We are looking for energetic individuals ready to take the next step in their careers at an innovative and solutions-oriented local firm. Availability for short to medium length out-of-town field assignments is required. The company is interested in candidates with good verbal and written communication skills, and the desire and ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks. Experience with AutoCAD is desired, but this is not a prerequisite for employment. Engineer-in-training (EIT) is preferred.

 

Civil Engineer

The company is interested in a candidate with 5-10 years of experience with the desire and ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering; EIT (Engineer in Training) certification required, PE, or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year desired. Candidate should have experience with stormwater management design, including hydraulic software (Hydraflow, Pondpack, HEC-RAS, etc.), NPDES permitting and Erosion and Sediment Control design in Pennsylvania; ability to work with other engineers, surveyors, architects, designers, drafters, and other professionals; able to prepare and/or check all calculations, reports, drawings, and other documents for construction, permit, or bid packages; experience with or desire to become familiar with budgets and proposals; experience with site investigation reports including planning and zoning analysis, utility research and one-call coordination, environmental & geotechnical database reviews of Pennsylvania municipalities is a plus; construction experience including but not limited to infiltration testing, construction monitoring, RFI coordination, shop drawing review is a plus; availability for short to medium out-of-town field assignments is required; good verbal and written communication skills.

 

Administrative Assistant

KU Resources is looking for a candidate with 5+ years of administrative assistance experience to assist with our monthly billing/invoicing, accounts payable duties such as cutting checks and entering invoices, assistance with accounts receivable duties, as well as ordering office supplies, assisting with reports and documents and other duties such as answering phones, distributing mail, printing, scanning, etc. This position will work closely with other administrative assistants, project managers, and client managers. Experience with Unanet accounting software is desired but not a prerequisite for the position.
