Our location in the heart of one of the country’s largest shale plays allows us to assist a wide range of clients with shale gas related projects. We have focused on several core service areas where the KU Resources team can provide the high level of responsiveness and technical quality that our clients in the shale gas industry expect for site characterization and remediation; water supply/water resources; and permitting/compliance.
Site characterization and remediation has been a mainstay of KU Resources’ business throughout our 15 years of operation. Our work includes a mix of classical and innovative investigation and remediation approaches, with a focus on minimizing field time and project durations.
Environmental permitting and regulatory compliance support have also been a mainstay of KU Resources’ business. Our personnel are highly experienced with air quality and storm water discharge permitting, erosion and sedimentation control plan development and monitoring, emergency preparedness and spill control plan development, and water/waste management compliance auditing.
Our team also includes senior personnel who have extensive experience with evaluating existing groundwater supplies, permitting and developing new, high-flow groundwater supplies, and treating supply water for specific uses. Our work also includes pre-drill surveys, assistance with private water supply and private pond issues, and early detection/release potential evaluations.
